Globe for All's Tour of The Winter's Tale

Our talented Globe for All company of professional actors will bring a stirring production of William Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale to a variety of economically, geographically, and culturally diverse communities throughout San Diego County.

Almost Famous Extension Announced!

Due to popular demand, The Old Globe announced today a one-week-only extension—through Sunday, October 27—of Almost Famous, a world-premiere musical with book and lyrics by Academy Award winner and San Diego native Cameron Crowe (films Jerry Maguire, Say Anything…, Fast Times at Ridgemont High), based on his iconic film.

Romeo and Juliet Cast and Creative

As The Old Globe’s 2019 Summer Shakespeare Festival continues, the theatre today announced the cast and creative team of the love-filled tragedy Romeo and Juliet. The Globe’s Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein returns to direct the greatest love story of all time, after helming a smash-hit production of Othello and a sales-record-breaking production of Hamlet.
