Take Interstate 5 to the Sixth Avenue exit. Turn right (north) and follow Sixth Avenue to Laurel Street. Turn right (east) on Laurel and drive straight into Balboa Park.
Take Interstate 5 into San Diego. Exit at Sassafras Street and follow Kettner Boulevard to Laurel Street (second stop light). Turn left (east) on Laurel and drive straight into Balboa Park.
Driving East (via Harbor)
From Point Loma, take Harbor Drive west from Rosecrans. Turn left onto Laurel Street. Pass Sixth Avenue, and drive straight into Balboa Park.
Take Interstate 8 to 163. Go south on 163 and exit at University Avenue. At the light, continue straight along Sixth Avenue to Laurel. Turn left (east) on Laurel and drive straight into Balboa Park.

From Park Blvd., turn on Village Place and drive into Balboa Park. Turn right onto Old Globe Way and continue until you meet the theatre. Patrons are permitted to park for a maximum of 10 minutes.
Parking is free in Balboa Park in various lots, including Alcazar lot (closest but fills up quickly), Organ Pavillion lot (best availability), as well as the Aerospace Museum and Hall of Champions lots. Most of these are within a 5-10 minute walk from the theatre. There are additional lots a bit further from the Globe (10-15 minute walk) around the Natural History Museum and the Reuben H. New Valet Option in the Evenings!
The new San Diego Zoo employee parking structure is complete, and through a special arrangement with the Zoo, Old Globe evening ticket-holders have the opportunity to pre-purchase valet parking in the Zoo's new structure. Must be purchased at least 48 hours in advance. Call (619) 234-5623. With a drop-off point on Old Globe Way, just a short walk to the Globe, theatregoers may purchase fast, easy, convenient valet parking for just $20 per vehicle per evening. New Balboa Park Trams
The new Balboa Park Trams are available to all park guests from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., seven days a week (9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the summer). The vehicles depart from Tram Central, next to the large parking lots near Inspiration Point (east of Park Boulevard at President's Way). They leave every 10 to 12 minutes, and follow a loop route, taking passengers to a drop-off station in the Plaza de Panama. For more information, contact the Visitor's Center at
